Een parcours om vingers en duimen af te likken
Saturday 2 Mai
50 KM from Knokke to Blankenberge
24, 15 and 7 KM in and around Blankenberge
On Saturday, we’ll be setting off on our unique 50 km route from Knokke to Blankenberge, passing along and through dunes, lakes, streams and brooks, polders and castles, before finally arriving in Blankenberge.
Discover, in the order of the route, the footpath through the Golf Course in Knokke, the Zwin and its trendy bistro ‘Nest’, across the border into the Netherlands and the unique village of Retranchement, followed a little later by Sluis, the charming little castle in Oostkerke, the ‘Blinker and Stinker’ duo (officially known as the Leopold Canal and the Schipdonk Canal), the new Natuurpunt Damme visitor centre, the polders of Koolkerke and Dudzele, the Schottenhof (still on our badge and medal in 2024), the 12th-century church tower in Dudzele, Cathemgoed, Ter Doest farm, the white village of Lissewege and the polders between Zwankendamme and Blankenberge.
The other routes (24, 15 & 7 km) head straight for the polders, but there are some real gems to be found along the way here too.
Sunday 3 May
32, 24, 15 and 7 KM
in and around Blankenberge
On Sundays, all the routes skirt the coast and wind their way through the polders along well-known and lesser-known roads and paths. We set off from Blankenberge towards De Haan.
The 32 KM route passes the new western breakwater and the Wrakhout Bridge, offers views of the Spioenkop in Wenduine, allows for a brief rest on the beach at Westhinder, lets you enjoy the splendour of De Haan – including La Potiniere and the characteristic tram house – crosses the Bosjes van Wenduine, the Kleiputten van Wenduine, the Groenwaecke visitor centre in the heart of the Uitkerkse Polders and the superb atmosphere of Zuienkerke, before returning via ‘t Klokhof in Uitkerke – the farm that adorns the badge and medal – to the finish.
The start and finish line is at the Maerlant Atheneum,
close to the station and the tram stop.
On Saturday, the start of the 50 KM walk is in Knokke.
You can find more information on how to get there here.

A provision that is almost literally finger-licking good

Traditionally, the Two Days Walk is known as a walk where you won’t be short of anything.
This time too, we will spoil you with a range of supplies so you will certainly not lack anything along the way.
Walkers* will be treated to a delicious and nutritious gingerbread biscuit from Vondelmolen, a selection of fruit, fruit juice, water from water taps, a Filou beer and, of course, a freshly fried fish* on a slice of bread.
Along the way, there are several rest stops where you can still get all kinds of things.
*1 fish per walker; the actual allocation depends on the distance chosen
A lively atmosphere from start to finish

Music and atmosphere
Right from the start, you’ll be sent off on the course to the sound of a real bagpipe and some lively DJs…
There’s a lively atmosphere as soon as you arrive.
This year, on Saturday, we’ve got ‘Looking for Darcy’, a brilliant cover band that gets everyone on their feet – even those with the most tired legs.
On Sunday, we’re welcoming the wonderfully quirky Noenkels to the stage; with their vintage decor and a few crates full of vinyl, they’re sure to make the day a success.
On the road
Ambiance is also guaranteed along the way.
In Zuienkerke, on Sundays, you can visit the traditional flea market and enjoy a big village fair.
You might even bump into some familiar faces here!

Unique souvenir

Taking part in the Two-Days Walk will stick in your memory. Still, nothing like being rewarded for this as well with a badge and medal.
All walkers will receive a unique badge on arrival.
And anyone who has given their utmost for two days will be rewarded with a special medal.
And perhaps you’ll also want to pick up this edition’s unique T-shirt.
Available in limited quantities at the venue, but you can also buy it in advance via the registration page (even if you’ve already registered).
This year, Hoeve Klokhof in Uitkerke features on our badge, medal and T-shirt.
