A successful Two-Day Walk
There were high expectations for this 43rd edition of the Two-Day Walk. Together with 8310 other walkers you could enjoy once more the beautiful surroundings of Blankenberge. The sun helped creating a great atmosphere. The proof of this were the crowded outdoor cafés on the Market Square and along the tracks.
We also welcomed several Asian delegations. This opened opportunities for those seeking international contacts.
The younger walkers were also present. Among the youth movements the Lissewege KSJ received the award for the biggest group. Among the schools 't Zandschooltje from Blankenberge and De Lisblomme from Lissewege received an award.
Once more we defended our "green" colours rigorously. The numerous waste islands and our continuous pursuit for a green policy have clearly proven to be successful.
